Installing it is very simple and you don’t have to drill a hole in the wall or window frame to  stretch the wire to put the sensor out. To operate this model, you will only hang the sensor outside, and palce the station inside the house.

Sometimes these devices have several sensors, which are responsible for measurement of all the  variables in different locations, which will give more accurate readings and forecasts.

The only drawback with these wireless units is that they can only work on batteries or rechargeable batteries, so you have to monitor and maintain their level of charge.

In addition to the standard functions the midrange device may have  two interesting features: backlight which is dependent on the weather and humidity outside, and a projector that displays the data on the ceiling or wall.

For most of the people, living in the city with not space for more advanced meteorological instruments, this is the natural choice.

But for people with bigger home and budget on hand we have the professional weather station.

Professional Weather Station


The most expensive are called  professional weather station. Such devices have great functionality and many additional options.

You can learn not only the temperature, date, time, humidity, barometric pressure, weather forecast for couple a day ahead, but also information such as – wind direction and speed, solar radiation, solid temperature, and perception amount.

For these useful features you will have a wireless special sensor suite, which is installed outside of your home and provides all these additional data.

Also, most of the models have special  USB link hub, which is used to connect to a PC for software updates, data aggregation, and data storage.
